To maintain a secure and trusted community, ShareGrid requires all users to verify their accounts. This guide explains what you need, the typical timeframe, and how you can help speed up the process.

What You’ll Need

To verify your account, submit one of the following valid, unexpired photo IDs:

  • Passport

  • U.S. Driver’s License

  • U.S. State-issued ID Card

Expired or unclear documents will delay your verification. Please note that if you submit a foreign passport, you will be asked to provide a copy of your U.S. visa.

How Long Does Verification Take?

Most verifications are completed within thirty minutes during standard business hours, which are 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time. However, timing can vary due to:

  • Document Quality: Blurry, cropped, or expired IDs must be resubmitted.

  • Photo Clarity: Ensure your ID photo is well-lit, glare-free, not inside a sleeve, and shows the full ID.

  • High Demand: Processing times may be longer during periods of high volume.

You’ll Be Notified When Verified

Once your account is verified, you’ll receive a confirmation email. After that, your account is ready to use.

Tips for a Faster Verification

  • Submit only valid, current ID documents.

  • Check for accuracy before uploading.

  • Avoid shadows, glares, and obstructions in ID photos.
