Welcome to ShareGrid! If you've been added as an Authorized Person, you're here to help someone rent film or photography equipment. Please follow this guide to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Understanding Your Role: As an Authorized Person, you’ve been nominated to pick up or return equipment on behalf of someone else using ShareGrid, a platform for renting film and photography gear.

ID Verification Process:

  1. Click the Verification Link: Open the text message you received and click the verification link.

  2. Submit ID Photos: Upload pictures of both sides of a state-issued ID, like a driver’s license or passport.

  3. Take a Selfie: Capture and submit a selfie to confirm your identity.

Tips for Smooth ID Verification:

  • Ensure good lighting for clear images.

  • Hold the camera steady to avoid blurriness.

  • Rest assured, all data is kept confidential and secure.

The primary renter will be contacted for further instructions if there are any issues.

Coordinating the Equipment Handover:

  1. Connect with the Primary Renter: Get the equipment holder's contact details, location, and timing from the person who nominated you.

  2. Carry Your ID: Bring your ID to the meeting. The equipment holder will verify it against the one you provided during verification.

Completing the Digital Check Sheet:

  • Picking Up Equipment: You may receive a text with a link to the Digital Check Sheet. Fill it out, noting the equipment's condition and confirming the items received.

  • Returning Equipment: The equipment owner will complete the return Digital Check Sheet. Your job is simply to ensure the equipment is safely delivered.

Thank you for contributing to the ShareGrid community! If you have any questions, our support team is here to help. Safe handling and happy filming!
