Discrepancies in your insurance coverage dates can delay insurance verification on ShareGrid. Follow the steps below to resolve any date mismatches quickly and efficiently.

Step 1: Confirm Coverage Dates with Your Insurance Provider

  • Check your policy details to verify the coverage start and end dates.

  • Contact your insurance provider to confirm the correct dates if you notice a discrepancy.

Important: Most policies expire at 12:01 AM on the expiration date. ShareGrid treats the previous day as the final full day of coverage to ensure rentals are properly covered.

Example: If your policy expires on January 5, your last full day of coverage is January 4.

Step 2: Request a Formal Correction (If Needed)

If your coverage dates are incorrect, ask your insurance provider to:

  • Request a written correction from the insurance company or agent.

  • Have them send it directly to us at insurance@sharegrid.com.

  • Make sure they mention your ShareGrid account using the personal or business name it's registered under for quicker processing.

Important: The verification email must be sent directly from the insurance agent or company to ShareGrid.

Step 3: Ensure Documentation is Complete

Make sure your insurance provider’s email includes:

  • Accurate start and end dates.

  • Your rented equipment from others (off-premises) coverage limit.

  • Your full legal or business name.

  • Any official documentation or endorsements as needed.
