Discrepancies in your insurance coverage dates can delay insurance verification on ShareGrid. Follow the steps below to resolve any date mismatches quickly and efficiently.
Step 1: Confirm Coverage Dates with Your Insurance Provider
Check your policy details to verify the coverage start and end dates.
Contact your insurance provider to confirm the correct dates if you notice a discrepancy.
Important: Most policies expire at 12:01 AM on the expiration date. ShareGrid treats the previous day as the final full day of coverage to ensure rentals are properly covered.
Example: If your policy expires on January 5, your last full day of coverage is January 4.
Step 2: Request a Formal Correction (If Needed)
If your coverage dates are incorrect, ask your insurance provider to:
Request a written correction from the insurance company or agent.
Have them send it directly to us at insurance@sharegrid.com.
Make sure they mention your ShareGrid account using the personal or business name it's registered under for quicker processing.
Important: The verification email must be sent directly from the insurance agent or company to ShareGrid.
Step 3: Ensure Documentation is Complete
Make sure your insurance provider’s email includes:
Accurate start and end dates.
Your rented equipment from others (off-premises) coverage limit.
Your full legal or business name.
Any official documentation or endorsements as needed.
