Adding and verifying your business name on ShareGrid lets you run your account as a legally registered entity. Follow this simple guide to add your business name, complete verification, and ensure a smooth process.

Step 1: Add Your Business Name

  1. Log In: Sign in to your ShareGrid account.

  2. Go to Profile Settings: Click on Settings > Profile Info.

  3. Enable Business Name Use:

    • Check the box labeled “We operate under a legally registered business name.”

    • Enter your business name exactly as it appears in state or local records.

    • This name will be used to verify your business with the appropriate authorities.

    • Indicate DBA (If applicable): If you operate under a Doing Business As (DBA) name, check the box labeled “This is a DBA.”

Step 2: Verification Process

After submitting your business name:

  • Business Name Verification: ShareGrid will verify your business name with the relevant state or local agencies.

  • Temporary Pause: Your account may be temporarily suspended during this process to ensure compliance.

  • Reactivation: Once your license is verified and in good standing, your account will be unpaused.

  • Notification: You’ll receive an update once the verification is complete and your account is active.

Step 3: Operate Under Your Business Name

Once verified:

  • Your business name will appear on your profile as a verified entity.

  • You can now operate your ShareGrid account under your business name instead of your personal name.

Tips for a Smooth Process

  • Double-check that your business name matches exactly with official documents to avoid delays.

  • If using a DBA, make sure the DBA box is checked in your profile.
