Yes, you should always ask to check the renter’s government-issued ID when they arrive to pick up gear. This is to ensure that you are meeting with the right person. If you fail to do so, we cannot guarantee that we can provide support if there is an issue with the rental.
If the renter has added an Authorized Person for pick up or drop off, please check that person's ID, and make sure it matches the name that appears on the rental conversation thread.
