Sellers are responsible for determining their applicable tax reporting requirements, and the taxes that should be included in a listing price, and for including taxes to be collected or obligations relating to applicable taxes in their listings. Sellers can set sales tax rates in their Settings > Account > Sales Tax.

Appropriate governmental agencies, departments or authorities (the “tax authority”) where sellers or buyers are located may require taxes to be collected from sellers and buyers on the amount paid for the purchase of a listing, and to be remitted to the respective tax authority. The laws in jurisdictions may vary, but these taxes may be required to be collected and remitted as a percentage of the actual listing price (before tax) set by sellers or other variations. Sellers are responsible for remitting to the relevant authority any taxes included or received by them. We recommend that sellers contact any applicable tax authority to determine the effective tax rate for selling their listings.

Sales delivered or sourced to Washington:

Sales or use tax is due on certain purchases delivered or sourced to Washington. Washington requires you to file a use tax return when sales tax is not paid at the time of purchase. This message is required under the Revised Code of Washington 82.13.020(2)(a)(i).

ShareGrid is not required to, and does not, collect Washington sales or use tax. Under Washington law, purchases are not tax-exempt merely because a seller is not required to collect Washington’s tax. Washington law requires Washington purchasers to review untaxed purchases and, if any tax is owed, file a Washington use tax return and pay any tax due.
