See an item you like? It may be available to buy! ShareGrid sellers offer excellent deals on both used and new gear for purchase.

You can see the seller’s info on their profile, and their reviews from previous rental and sales transactions. Buying through ShareGrid means you can pay securely using one of several easy payment options.

And of course, if you want to try out the item before you buy it, you can rent it first.

There are two ways to buy items through the site:

Buy It Now

If you see the Buy It Now option on a listing, it means that the seller has set a price that they are willing to sell the item for. The price is displayed above the button. Click ‘Buy It Now’ to begin the buying process.

Make an Offer

On some listings, you’ll see the option to Make an Offer for the item. This means that the seller is open to offers below their Buy It Now price, or they haven’t set a fixed purchase price. If you’d like to make an offer, select this option, then enter the amount you’d like to offer the seller.

The seller will be notified that you’ve made an offer, and they have 24 hours to respond. They can either Accept, make a Counteroffer (suggesting an amount higher than what you offered), or Decline your offer.

You’ll be notified when the seller makes a decision.

What happens next?

Once you and the seller have agreed on a price, and the seller has accepted your offer, the transaction moves to the next stage. For local pickups, this is the Inspection stage. This is when you should make arrangements to meet up with the seller to inspect the gear and finalize the transaction.

For items that will be shipped, the seller will prepare the shipment, and provide a tracking number so you know when the item will arrive. You can read more about this here.
