A Simple Guide to Managing Your Listing's Availability on ShareGrid

If you need to adjust the availability of your listing, follow this simple guide to make the necessary changes:

  1. Active Rentals or Future Bookings: The calendar tool automatically marks dates as unavailable if your listing has active rentals or future bookings.

  2. Manually Setting Unavailable Dates: If your gear is unavailable for other reasons (e.g., repairs, rentals outside ShareGrid, personal use), you can manually set unavailable dates.

Steps to Set Unavailable Dates:

  1. Go to the Listing Page: Navigate to the item listing page you want to adjust. There are many ways to do this. For example, you can select a listing while on your profile page.

  2. While on the listing's page, click "Edit listing" to select the listing for editing. This will take you to your 'Manage Listings' page.

  3. Select the 'For Rent' tab.

  4. Add Unavailable Dates: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on 'Add new date.'

  5. Select Dates: A calendar window will appear. Select the dates when the item will be unavailable.

  6. Block Multiple Periods: You can block out multiple periods if needed.


Note: If you want to block out dates for all your listings simultaneously, please utilize our Vacation Mode feature outlined below.

Using Vacation Mode:

If you need a break and want to make all your listings temporarily unavailable, use Vacation Mode:

  1. Go to Settings: In your account, click on your profile photo thumbnail and click on 'Settings.'

  2. Activate Vacation Mode:

    • Go to the 'Account' tab.

    • Scroll down to 'Vacation Mode.'

    • Click 'New unavailable date' and use the calendar to select the dates you won't be available for rentals, then click 'Save.'

With Vacation Mode activated, your listings will still appear in search results, but renters won't be able to request the dates you've selected.
