Community Fee
What fees do I pay as a renter? Why do you charge a fee?

The community fee is a percentage of the rental. Most renters pay a 5% fee, but some pay more. The price varies based on a variety of factors and is shown during checkout before you book so you know what to expect. Several factors unique to each booking can influence the rentals fee calculation. These include the day of the week items are picked up on, the selected coverage option and the lead time of booking (rentals booked further in advance can lower the associated rental fee).

This fee helps cover the costs of ID verification, coverage verification, security, customer service, feature improvements, and dispute mitigation.

If you decide to cancel a booked/confirmed rental, the Community Fee in some cases may not be refundable.
