Why do I need to add a phone number? How do I verify my phone number? Who sees my phone number once it's on my account? Is it public?

As part of the ID verification process, you'll be asked to verify your phone number. 

Add your phone number in the box provided and click 'send code'. You should receive a code via text message which you can enter in the box to complete verification. Please note that we can only verify US-based cell phone numbers. Our system cannot accept international phone numbers, or numbers that cannot receive text messages.

Once your number is verified, you can begin receiving text notifications for messages received on ShareGrid. You can reply to other users directly by text and the message you send will also appear on the website.

Your phone number is never displayed publicly. It is shared only with the other member you are renting from/to, after a rental has been confirmed.
