As an added benefit, when you purchase a short-term or annual policy directly through ShareGrid, the policy is fully integrated with your account. This means that when you book a rental using the coverage, our system will automatically issue a certificate of insurance to the owner of the equipment. This saves time, and means you have one less thing to think about when you're making a rental.
How do I get a quote?
Follow these easy steps to get a quote or purchase Short-Term insurance:
Sign in to your account
Click on your name and select Settings
Select Short-Term, and click 'Get An Instant Quote'
From here you can go through our real-time insurance quote system, so you can determine which options work best for you. As you select your options, your premium (the cost of the policy) will update live in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.
What options do I need?
Short-Term policies can be applied to multiple items on ShareGrid that you're renting for the same period, so when you're selecting options, make sure you add enough coverage to cover the total replacement value of all of the items you plan to rent under the policy.
Make sure the policy effective dates cover the entire duration of your rental or rentals including both the rental pick-up and drop-off dates.
The price of your Short-Term policy is determined by the coverage amount and the duration of the policy. As you select your options, your premium will update live in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.
What happens once I've purchased Short-Term insurance?
Once short-term insurance is purchased, our system will auto-apply it towards rentals, so long as the dates of the rental fall within your policy dates and you have not yet reached your coverage limit.
A certificate of insurance (COI) will be issued automatically to owners for rentals booked using this coverage.
Are Short-Term policies refundable?
No. The premium and fees for Short-Term policies are fully earned and non-refundable upon purchase.
