If the Renter is running behind schedule, we recommend contacting them as soon as possible to get an accurate return time. If they return the equipment late, you can apply a late fee on the day of the initially booked return date.
How to apply the late fee: Go to the rental confirmation page and click "Edit Order." From there, select “Late Return" However, please note that the Late Return button may be unavailable if it's already past the due date. But don't worry; you can still manually add the fee by clicking "Edit Rental" and selecting "New Charge."
We make it clear in both the rental confirmation page and email that a late fee, equivalent to the rental's day rate, may be applied if the Renter fails to return the gear by noon (local time) on the return date (scheduled drop-off date).
Of course, there are exceptions to this policy. For instance, if the pickup and drop-off days are the same or if the Renter didn't book the rental for the standard duration, the late fee may not apply.
