Making Sure Your Rental is Properly Covered

Congratulations on your booked rental! Let’s ensure everything is in place for a smooth and protected rental experience.

Confirm the Rental Request

Third-Party Insurance:

  • Once you've accepted the renter's request using third-party insurance, the renter will receive an email with your name and address to issue the Certificate of Insurance (COI).

COI for Different Insurance Types

Annual or Short-Term Policy:

  • If the renter has an Annual or Short-Term policy through ShareGrid, the COI will automatically be emailed to you when you accept the rental request.

Damage Only or Damage + Theft Coverage:

  • Renters using ShareGrid's Damage Only or Damage + Theft coverage do not need a separate COI. These coverages are handled directly by ShareGrid and are effective throughout the rental period.

Ensure Timely Receipt

  • Please make sure you receive the COI before exchanging the gear. This step is crucial to protect you and the renter throughout the rental period.
