If your rental or sale was canceled, we understand you want to know when you’ll receive your refund. Here's what to expect:

Rental Refunds

Denied, Expired, or Unaccepted Requests:

  • Your card won't be charged if your rental request wasn’t accepted, canceled, or expired. An unconfirmed request shows as 'Waiting for [owner’s name]' in the rental conversation.

Accepted Rental Requests:

  • More than 48 Hours Before Start: If the rental is canceled more than 48 hours before the start date, the authorization charge will be voided, and the funds will be returned to your card within 2-3 business days.

  • Within 48 Hours of Start: Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a cancellation fee at the owner's request. If you want more details on cancellation fees, see our support article HERE.

Authorized Hold Payments:

  • A reversal refund will be processed if a payment authorization or hold is canceled. You won’t see a refund credit, but the original hold will drop off your statement after a few days. Contact your card company if you have concerns; they can verify and release any holds.

Buy & Sell Refunds

Return Process:

  • If you return a purchased item, the seller must receive and confirm the item's condition before a refund is issued. You should see the refund within 2-3 business days after confirmation. See our Buy & Sell return process support article HERE for more details.
