As a marketplace facilitator, ShareGrid is required to collect and remit sales tax on rentals in the state of California.

However, if you paid sales tax when you first purchased your item, we are not required to collect sales tax on every rental.


How to exempt your item from rental sales tax

If you've paid sales tax upon purchase of you item follow these steps to remove all future rental sales tax for that item.

1. Click on Manage Listings

2. Click on the item.

3. Click the rental tab.

4. Check the checkbox.
