Navigating sales tax on online platforms can be confusing. Let’s simplify it for you!

Why Is There a Sales Tax?

  • ShareGrid, like all online marketplaces, follows state sales tax laws. This is not a new policy; it’s a standard procedure all online marketplaces adhere to.

When and Where Will You See This Tax?

  • During checkout, an estimated sales tax will appear in your shopping cart for certain rental and sales transactions going to or within specific states. No surprises!

States Where ShareGrid Handles Sales Tax:

If your transaction is connected to any of the following states, either because you’re located there or because your items are shipped there, ShareGrid will handle the sales tax for you:

  • Georgia

  • Texas

  • Washington

  • New Jersey

  • Florida

  • Oklahoma

  • Maryland

  • Pennsylvania

  • California

  • New York

What Does ShareGrid Do?

We don't just show you the tax; we handle the entire process:

  1. Calculate the appropriate sales tax based on state-specific rates.

  2. Collect the tax at the time of the transaction.

  3. Remit (or pay) the tax to the respective state.

We aim to make your ShareGrid experience seamless. Need more clarity or have other questions? Feel free to reach out. We're here to help!
