Please talk with Your Renter: Before you go ahead and add the delivery fee, you'll have to agree on this charge with your renter. Communication is vital to ensure everyone is on the same page.
Confirm the Rental Request: The first step is to 'accept' the rental request from your renter. Once the booking has been confirmed, you're good to go ahead and apply the fee.
Adding the Delivery Fee:
Click on the rental from your message inbox.
Look for the "Edit Order" button, which can be found just under the 'Order Summary' section.
Select "Delivery Charge."
Type in the dollar amount of the delivery fee. You'll see this new charge displayed in the Order Summary section.
Click “Apply.”
That's it! You've successfully added the delivery fee. You and your renter can now see the updated Order Summary, including the new charge.
Please remember that all charges added to a rental, including delivery fees, are subject to ShareGrid's standard fees.
Bonus Tip: Get a 'Delivery' Badge for Your Account!
Do you plan to offer delivery frequently with your rentals? Great news! You can gain a competitive edge by adding the 'Delivery' badge to your account and listings. Here's how to do it:
Click on your picture at the top of the screen.
Select "Settings."
Go to the "Account" tab.
Look for the option labeled 'Are you willing to deliver?' Check the box next to it.
Hit “Save."
By doing this, your profile and listings will proudly display the 'delivery truck' badge, making it clear to renters that you offer delivery for an extra fee.
