Rental House Badge & Vendor Services Program

Requirements, Qualifications, and How to Apply for Enhanced Service Badges

Updated over a month ago

Do you operate from a physical rental location? The Rental House badge is typically reserved for accounts with a brick-and-mortar space where gear is prepped and rented, with features such as dedicated prep areas and available technicians.

Rental House vs. Elite Badge: ShareGrid offers Rental House badges to highlight owners who provide elevated service and amenities at a rental business location. Similar to Elite Badges, these badges help identify high-service providers, improve search visibility, and can increase bookings from filmmakers seeking a more professional rental experience.

Qualification Requirements

To apply for a Rental House badge, you must provide one or more of the following services:

Prep Space

You must offer a dedicated area where renters can comfortably test, prep, and inventory gear. The space must include:

  • A focus chart

  • A tripod or mounted fluid head

  • Adequate lighting

  • A designated area of at least 10 × 15 ft

Technician Available

You must have an experienced technician on-site who can:

  • Assist with gear preparation and setup

  • Answer technical questions

  • Provide guidance and troubleshooting

  • Help build or modify equipment configurations

Technicians should have strong experience with both the equipment and your inventory.

Backup Gear Available

You must be able to provide comparable backup gear in case a rented item becomes inoperable (regardless of fault). Note that additional charges may apply later if necessary.
