In order to make a rental on ShareGrid, the renter has to have enough rented equipment coverage to cover the full replacement value of the gear they're renting.

We offer various coverage options: Damage, Damage + Theft, and annual Annual or Short-Term policies provided by Athos Insurance. Renters may also upload and use third-party coverage on their ShareGrid account. We verify all third-party policies directly with the relevant insurance company.

We do not require a renter to carry liability coverage to rent on ShareGrid. The coverage options available on ShareGrid do not include liability insurance. Athos offers liability coverage as an additional option on their policies.

If you're concerned about liability as an owner, you can make this a requirement for rentals by clearly listing this in the description for each of your items.
