Sometimes, our system might ask for references based on your rental history, professional background, and the rental value you're eyeing or have submitted a request for. If so, you'll receive a verification request email requesting two professional production references.
What ShareGrid Requires:
We require references with email addresses linked directly to recent filmmaking portfolios, ShareGrid accounts, or production websites with up-to-date content. References from staff at well-known production schools are also welcome!
Examples of acceptable email addresses:
The email address belongs to an established ShareGrid account.
The email address belongs to a film-related domain with recent content.
The email address belongs to a well-known production school and is associated with a professor or staff member.
The email address is viewable on online production portfolios with recent content, such as Vimeo and YouTube.
The email address is viewable on production-related websites such as IMDb Pro and LinkedIn.
Important: If you've requested your rental with a new short-term insurance policy, Athos Insurance will not charge you until the equipment owner approves and accepts your rental request.
