Ensuring your booked rental is properly covered is a breeze! Here's how it works:
Confirm the Rental Request: Once you've agreed on the rental details with the Renter and accepted their rental request using third-party insurance, the Renter will receive an email with your name and address to issue the Certificate of Insurance COI.
Ensure Timely Receipt: You must receive the COI before you exchange the gear. This helps protect both you and the Renter throughout the rental period.
Annual or Short-Term Policy: If a Renter has an Annual or Short-Term policy purchased through ShareGrid, you're in luck! The COI will be automatically issued and emailed to you when you accept their rental request.
Damage Only or Damage + Theft Coverage: A separate COI won't be provided and is not needed for renters using ShareGrid's Damage Only or Damage + Theft coverage. These coverage options are handled directly by ShareGrid and are in effect throughout the rental period.
